Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou
Begin your journey with a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, passing through traditional Berber villages. Visit the historic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner and overnight at a hotel near the kasbah.
Travel: 4–5 hours
Day 2: Ait Benhaddou – Draa Valley – Zagora – Mhamid
Travel through the picturesque Draa Valley, renowned for its vast palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Stop in Zagora for lunch, then visit Tamgroute to explore its Koranic library, pottery workshops, and underground kasbah. Continue to Mhamid, the gateway to the Sahara, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a desert camp.

Day 3: Mhamid – Ras Nekhal – Sidi Naji
Begin your trek with a camel caravan, heading toward the sacred dunes of Sidi Naji. Walk through the serene desert landscapes, stopping for lunch under palm trees. Set up camp at Sidi Naji and enjoy the sunset, followed by dinner under the stars.
Hiking: 4–5 hours
Day 4: Sidi Naji – Erg Zahar
Trek to Erg Zahar, one of the tallest dunes in the Mhamid desert. Split the journey into a morning and afternoon hike, stopping for lunch under the shade of a tamarisk tree. In the evening, climb the dune to witness breathtaking views of the Algerian border. Camp overnight at Erg Zahar.

Day 5: Erg Zahar – Erg Samar – Erg Sedra
Continue your trek through the desert, visiting an ancient nomadic settlement. Explore the remnants of old buildings and learn about the region’s history. Stop for lunch under the shade of trees before reaching Erg Sedra, where you’ll camp for the night and enjoy traditional songs around the campfire.

Day 6: Erg Sedra – Erg Chegaga
Hike to Erg Chegaga, Morocco’s largest dune, standing 300 meters high and spanning 15 kilometers. Along the way, marvel at the diverse desert vegetation and captivating landscapes. Set up camp near Erg Chegaga and enjoy the stunning sunset views from the top of the dunes.
Hiking: 5–6 hours
Day 7: Erg Chegaga – Taznakht – Marrakech
After breakfast, drive to Foum Zguid via the famous Paris-Dakar Rally route, passing by the dry lakebed of Lac Iriki. Stop in Taznakht for lunch before continuing to Marrakech, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
