Program Details:
Day 1: Marrakech – Agouti (1,800m)
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Marrakech to Agouti, a charming village nestled at the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival, relax and enjoy the evening in a guesthouse.
Travel: 6–7 hours
Day 2: Agouti – Arous Camp
Start your trek from Agouti, hiking through picturesque landscapes toward the Arous Valley. Camp overnight surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
Hiking: 4–5 hours
Day 3: Arous Camp – Tarkedit Plateau (2,900m)
Ascend through a wild and rugged landscape to the Aghouri Pass (3,450m). Descend to the Tarkedit Plateau, a wind-eroded expanse of snow-covered terrain. After lunch, climb to the southern edge of the plateau and set up camp at 3,400m, beneath M’goun West (3,978m).
Hiking: 7–8 hours
Day 4: Summit Day – Djebel M’goun (4,068m) – Oulilimt
Embark on the challenging ascent of Mount Mgoun. The climb follows a long ridge, staying above 4,000m, with spectacular views of the Draa Valley and the Sahara Desert. After reaching the summit, descend to Azib Izabine and camp for the night.
Hiking: 8–9 hours
Day 5: Oulilimt – Ain Aflafal – Tighermet N’Ait Ahmed
Trek down the valley, passing through the lush Ain Aflafal area. Continue to Tighermet N’Ait Ahmed, where you’ll set up camp for the night.
Hiking: 5 hours
Day 6: Tizi n’Ait Imi (2,960m) – Ait Bougmez Valley
Climb the Tizi n’Ait Imi pass, enjoying breathtaking views, followed by a long descent into the verdant Ait Bougmez Valley. Camp or stay in a local guesthouse.
Hiking: 6–7 hours
Day 7: Ait Bougmez Valley – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech
Drive to the stunning Ouzoud Waterfalls, the tallest in North Africa. Enjoy lunch and some free time to explore the area before returning to Marrakech in the evening.
