Program Details
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil Village – Chamharouch – Toubkal Refuge
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your Marrakech hotel. After a scenic drive, you’ll arrive at Imlil, a charming mountain village that serves as the gateway to the High Atlas. From here, the trek commences.
Following the Mizane Valley, you’ll pass through the traditional village of Aremd and reach the sacred shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, a pilgrimage site nestled amidst rugged cliffs. Continuing along mule tracks and crossing rivers, you’ll ascend steadily to the Toubkal Refuge (3,206m), where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2: Toubkal Refuge – Summit of Mount Toubkal – Return to Toubkal Refuge
An early morning start sets you on the path to conquer Mount Toubkal. The route takes you through the south cirque, crossing streams and snowfields. Although the ascent can be challenging due to scree and altitude, the incredible vistas make every step worthwhile.
From the summit, you’ll enjoy 360-degree views of the High Atlas, the Marrakech plains, and the distant Sahara Desert. After taking in the awe-inspiring scenery, retrace your steps back to the refuge for a well-deserved rest.
Day 3: Toubkal Refuge – Imlil Village – Marrakech
On the final day, you’ll descend the familiar trail back to Imlil, savoring the serene beauty of the valley one last time. From Imlil, you’ll be driven back to Marrakech, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of this incredible trek.
