Day 1: Ouarzazate – Drâa Valley – Zagora – Desert Dunes of Erg Lihoudi
Start your journey with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Ouarzazate, also known as “African Hollywood” due to its renowned film studios. Cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains to reach Agdz, a significant village in the Drâa Valley, and admire the lush palm groves. Enjoy lunch in Zagora before continuing to Erg Lihoudi.
Upon arrival at the desert dunes, embark on a camel ride to witness the captivating sunset. End your day at a desert camp, where you’ll relax under Berber tents, enjoy a traditional dinner, and experience vibrant Berber music and drumming around a campfire.
Day 2: Erg Lihoudi – Anti-Atlas – Ouarzazate
Begin your day with breakfast at the camp before heading back to Ouarzazate. Along the way, visit small Berber villages and explore an old Koranic school nestled within the palm groves, learning about the region’s history and culture. Travel off-road to Agdz and then follow the main route through the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Conclude your tour with a drop-off at your hotel in Ouarzazate.
